SMC (sheet moulding compound) is a ready-to-use, glass fiber reinforced polyester material. Under heat and pressure it is compression-moulded into lightweight, high-strength parts with a consistent surface finish.
It combines good mechanical strength with corrosion and weather resistance, electrical insulation and dimensional stability – which is why it is widely used for panels, covers, enclosures, water-tank panels and infrastructure components.
